Yuri Urano is an electronic artist originating from and operating out of Osaka, Japan. As an interdisciplinary creative, her work flows and expands across mediums; unable to be confined to one form but consistently maintaining a future-facing vision. Urano’s output sits across recorded releases of electronics & vocal arrangements but also delves into collaborations in AV, installations plus experiments in augmented reality.
Manami Sakamoto is a visual artist based in Tokyo. She started her career as a VJ and has performed at nightclub events and festivals in Japan as well as large festivals abroad, including Amsterdam, New York, Vancouver, Singapore and South Korea. She specializes in a style of expression that includes organic and randomness by collaging natural materials photographed with noise and particles created by 3D computer graphics.
Born in Osaka in 1993, Yuri Urano is known for her industrial techno sound and fascinating vocals, which drew a lot of attention in the Japanese Techno scene. She also has a solo project under the artist name “Yullippe.” In January 2018, she participated in "INTERLUDE from TDME" one of the biggest auditions searching for the next generation of creators for electronic music, and she won the GRAND PRIX. In April, she performed with Ryoji Ikeda and RADIQ in Osaka. In September, she released a single from CPU Records, and then released Reed from her eponymous label YL. She shows her talent in various musical fields and has both produced and performed at TEDxKobe and "The Star Festival.
Manami Sakamoto is a proliferating visual artist and VJ. As a MUTEK.JP regular, her work is highly regarded for its borderless view of the world unbounded by genre or framework, and for the highly designed images unique to VJ. Such creative output has led to performances at local festivals such as Fuji Rock or Summersonic, as well as international appearances at Awakenings and Zouk Out.
