Since its inception in Montreal in 2000, MUTEK has positioned itself as a prominent event for enthusiasts of electronic music and digital art. The festival has played a vital role in uncovering and promoting visionary artists who have reshaped contemporary sound and cultural environments. As our Headquarters mark their 25th anniversary this year, we offer you a taste of the experience in Dubai during a weekend that promises to be a unique celebration of the innovative and avant-garde spirit that has always characterized MUTEK, captivating audiences worldwide!

Where?

MICRO MUTEK.AE Edition 3 is taking place at Alserkal Avenue, the vibrant heart of Dubai's arts and culture scene. This industrial compound turned creative district is home to over 60 art, design, and creative venues, making it the perfect setting for this gathering. The program will take place at various spaces:

A Two-Day Journey Through Digital Creativity

The festival showcases a diverse lineup of 41 artists from around the globe converging in Dubai to offer 20 live performances, various screenings and installations.

From the legendary Mathew Jonson, to cutting-edge acts like 404.zero, Line Katcho, Salar Ansari Trio featuring Pathe Jassi and Grammy and Oscar winner Luis Resto, and the world premiere of Satoshi Tomiie x Kuniyuki x Manami Sakamoto , we invite you to delve into four main content streams over two days of live artistic exploration and innovation:

1) Play: Dive into experimental listening and delicate live performances with Play 1 and 2 programs, pushing the boundaries of sonic experimentation.

2) Nocturne: Immerse yourself in vibrant nightlife music with live performances at Nocturne 1 and 2. Explore innovative grooves and frequencies where global sounds meet > Read the article here.

3) Dome: Step into the ultimate collective immersive experience with Dome Screenings 1 and 2, a curated selection of global artworks repeating on Saturday and Sunday. Plus Dome Live 1, 2, 3, and 4: four exclusive live AV acts that will captivate audiences with their dynamic and innovative performances.

4) Digi Lab: During the daytime, engage in Workshops, Panel Talks, and a Gear Lab, where industry professionals and artists share insights into the latest trends and technologies.

Dome

Dome Series (8 events, 4 per day) takes the audiovisual experience to its maximum scale with a hemispherical dome, 10 m in diameter and 13 m high at its zenith, providing a 360º field of vision. This immersive experience is an integral part of the festival featuring Dome Screenings of curated pieces and Dome Live performances.
