Shoombufoom
Zeyad Al Balushi and Firas Al Raisi, known by their stage name Shoombufo, are a collaborative project based in Muscat, Oman, blending influences from progressive rock, heavy metal, and reggae into cutting-edge electronic music ranging from ambient to IDM and experimental psychedelic trance. As co-founders of the "After 12 Collective," they push the boundaries of sonic exploration, crafting live improvisational performances that showcase their mastery of modular synthesizers. Their audio-visual set at MICRO MUTEK.AE will seamlessly progress from experimental ambient/downtempo to dark psychedelic trance and techno, drawing inspiration from the likes of Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, and Boards of Canada.
Shoombufo's performance at MICRO MUTEK.AE will be a dynamic, genre-defying, and improvisational live set that combines their diverse musical influences and expertise in electronic music production and live performance.
